Pieces of Peace:
An Exhibit of the Greater Boston Chapter


Ani l'dodi

Above, Marika Grossman of East Bridgewater crafted the traditional Judaic Paper Cut, based on a verse from "Shir HaShirim", Song of Songs--"Ani LeDodi v'Dodi Li" meaning "My beloved is mine and I am his." This papercut is filled with Jewish symbols as well as symbols specific to the couple for whom it was made.

Below, Sidney Ann Freedman, who photographed most of the pictures in this essay, stands under the Greater Boston Chapter's hand appliqued, hand embroidered chuppah.
