Quilt Project To Benefit Children in Israel

quiltMiriam K. Sokoloff of Brookline, Mass., is involved in publicizing a quilt project to benefit children in Israel who are victims of terrorism.

Fabric for the quilts is being donated by Stephen Friedman of Fabric.com and UPS is donating $2,000 worth of free shipping. The quilts are to be sent to Stephen Friedman in Marietta, GA, who will forward them to Elana Schachter who will arrange for distribution.

Elana also requested donations and supplies, including books or magazines with simple patterns and yardage requirements. If possible to do so while still respecting copyright laws, Elana would like the articles scanned and e-mailed to her at Elana@actcom.co.il. The group has already distributed 28 quilts, and more are in production. Thank you for your support.
