Barbara Rucket's Tzedakah Box Barbara Rucket of the Peach State Stitchers constructed this five-sided box from hand-dyed fabric. It includes a different motif on each side including a beaded Lion of Judah (representing Jerusalem), beaded scales (reminding us that Tzedakah literally means "justice"), a beaded Star of David, appliquéd pomegranate, and an embroidered tree. Marjorie Heyman's Tzedakah Box Marjorie P. Heyman of Stitchers by the River Chapter needlepointed a panorama of Jerusalem using worsted weight yarn/metallic yarn on plastic canvas.
Ita Aber's Tzedakah Box Ita Aber, a founding member of the Guild and an Independent Member, used seed beads on printed cotton for her tzedakah box. Lillian Goldberg's Tzedakah Box Lillian Goldberg of the Greater Boston Chapter used patchwork and Victorian crazy quilt techniques for her tzedakah box.
